Udupi Police Build Bridges with “Mane Manege Police” Initiative
The Udupi district police recently launched a new community outreach program called “Mane Manege Police” (Police to Every Home). This initiative aims to strengthen the bond between the police and the community by bringing officers directly to residents’ doorsteps.
Officers Connect with Residents Through Home Visits
As part of the program’s launch, police officers fanned out across the district, visiting homes to connect with residents and promote safety awareness. In Udupi town, officers visited 28 houses, while 45 homes were visited in Manipal. The initiative also reached Brahmavara and Kota, with officers visiting 30 and 25 homes respectively.
Building Trust and Improving Communication
These visits provide an opportunity for officers to engage with residents on a personal level, answer questions, address concerns, and share valuable safety tips. The “Mane Manege Police” program hopes to build trust and improve communication between law enforcement and the community, fostering a safer environment for everyone.
