Bihar Voter List Update: Residents from Neighboring Countries Excluded

The Election Commission of India has confirmed that individuals from Nepal, Bangladesh, and Myanmar found during Bihar’s Special Summary Revision (SIR) will not be included in the final voter list. This measure is to ensure the integrity of the electoral process and that only eligible citizens of India participate.

Special Summary Revision: Ensuring Accurate Voter Rolls

The SIR, which began on June 25th, is a crucial process for updating and refining the voter list. Booth Level Officers have been diligently working to collect and verify voter information. The deadline for voters to submit their Enumeration Forms is July 25th.

Draft Voter List Release Expected in August

Following the submission deadline, a draft voter list will be published on August 1st. This draft list will allow for public scrutiny and the opportunity for eligible voters to raise any necessary corrections or additions. This transparent process aims to create a comprehensive and accurate representation of eligible voters in Bihar.
