Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla’s Journey Home: 7-Day Rehab Awaits After July 15 Landing
Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla is preparing for the final leg of his incredible journey back to Earth. After a successful mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS), Shukla and his fellow astronauts are scheduled to begin their descent on July 15th.
Undocking from the ISS and the Journey Home
According to a statement from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the undocking procedure from the ISS is set for Monday, July 14th, at 4:35 p.m. IST (7:05 a.m. ET). This marks the beginning of their trip back to Earth, culminating in a landing on July 15th.
Seven-Day Rehabilitation Post-Landing
Upon his return, Shubhanshu Shukla will undergo a seven-day rehabilitation program. This crucial phase will help him readjust to Earth’s gravity and recover from the physical effects of extended space travel. The program will ensure a smooth transition back to terrestrial life for the returning astronaut.
