Chirag Paswan Targeted with Online Death Threat, Cyber Terrorism Case Filed
Union Minister Chirag Paswan has become the target of a serious online threat. Patna Cyber Crime Police Station has officially registered a case following a death threat received by the minister.
Patna Police Invoke Cyber Terrorism Laws
The gravity of the threat has prompted the Patna police to invoke section 66-F of the IT Act, which specifically addresses cyber terrorism. This section deals with acts aimed at threatening the unity, integrity, security, or sovereignty of the nation or causing death or injuries to people.
Criminal Intimidation Charges Also Filed
In addition to the cyber terrorism charges, the police have also included section 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with criminal intimidation. This further underscores the serious nature of the threat received by Paswan.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to identify and apprehend the individual(s) responsible for the threat.
