In a formal representation to the Chief Minister on July 11th, AP Chambers president Potluri Bhaskar Rao highlighted the exponential growth in demand for “non-Remy” hair from China in recent years. This surge is raising concerns about its impact on local businesses and the potential for greater economic benefits within Andhra Pradesh.

Protecting and Growing the Local Hair Industry

By limiting the export of raw hair, the Chambers believes that Andhra Pradesh can encourage the growth of its domestic hair processing industry, creating jobs and adding value within the state.
