Shivamogga Resident Seeks to Honor Yediyurappa with Bridge Naming
A resident of Shivamogga has taken their admiration for former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa to the Karnataka High Court. They’ve filed a petition requesting that a soon-to-be-inaugurated bridge be named the “B.S. Yediyurappa Bridge.”
Petitioner Cites Yediyurappa’s Contributions to Karnataka
The petitioner emphasizes Yediyurappa’s significant contributions to the state during his tenure as Chief Minister as the basis for their request. They believe naming the bridge after him would be a fitting tribute.
Formal Representation Made to Authorities
Prior to approaching the High Court, the resident submitted a formal representation to both the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on July 7th. The bridge’s inauguration is scheduled for July 14th.
