₹1,066 Crore in Relief Aid Approved for Six Flood-Hit States

Communities in Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Kerala, and Uttarakhand devastated by recent floods and landslides will receive much-needed support. Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced the approval of ₹1,066.80 crore in relief funds. This crucial financial aid is part of the central share under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).

Central Government Extends Support to Flood-Affected Regions

The central government’s intervention comes as a lifeline to the six states battling the aftermath of severe natural disasters. The SDRF allocation will help provide essential resources to affected populations, supporting rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts.

Aid to Bolster Recovery Efforts in Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Kerala, and Uttarakhand

The allocated funds will be instrumental in rebuilding infrastructure, providing shelter, food, medical supplies, and other necessities to those whose lives have been upended by the floods and landslides. This financial assistance will help these states recover and rebuild their communities.
